While calling friend in BMW DE, it appears that the camshaft problem is not related to the hardness of the material but to the poor lubrification. It is said that the upper camshaft has problems while the lower doesn't. they refer to "warming up the engine before riding" could help to get oil in circle and reduce the possible problems....
24.10.
The little bird in Berlin told me that the problems with camshaft are solved, Lubrification needs the level always at max or very close. still an issue with Electronics mapping as the emissions increase in the transitory rpm when open too much, with another result called "wheelie" or slipping of rear tyre (2nd more frequent due to lenght of interaxle) (1st peak of torque). the 2 triangles in the Hossack system and its connections are under the microscope.
Soweit die Zitate. Bzgl. der Nockenwelle bzw. dem wohl wahrscheinlicheren Problem der Ölversorgung der oberen Nockenwelle traue ich allerdings meinen Augen kaum! Das kann doch wohl nicht wahr sein, daß der Ölbehälter immer voll sein muß, damit man mit der Kiste fahren kann

Langsam frage ich mich, ob das die richtige Entscheidung war, BMW zu vertrauen und mir die Kiste zu bestellen
